Decolonizing the Energy Transition: Indigenous Matriarchs Leading the Way focuses on how the energy transition can only be accomplished in a just manner by fully taking into account the Indigenous view of energy being “synonymous with life and spirit”. With Indigenous females’ and 2 Spirit people’s predisposition as environmental stewards who uphold a strong social fabric in their communities and expect accountable governance systems, the documentary will turn to them to explore the path forward.
