Rematriation: The Resurgence of Indigenous Midwifery is a documentary about the self-determination of Indigenous midwives and the decolonization of birth so that Indigenous birth practices and ceremony can be reclaimed as integral to the identity and health of Indigenous Peoples.

The film explores the history of Indigenous midwifery to the point of it almost becoming extinct, illustrates the current state of the profession and envisions the promise that the future holds for returning the sacred to Indigenous birthing people.
